This project was undertaken for clients' at their townhouse property in Winchester. The clients' approached us with a specification to create a welcoming, visually pleasing and functional outside space in a reasonably confined, and previously cluttered, area.

The clients' wanted a complete garden overhaul which would fit in with the style of the property and to add value for the future. After working through several design options and consultations with our in-house designer, the final design was selected.

The garden is traditional in design with the use of natural materials and a mix of hard and soft landscaping. However, a modern twist has been added through the addition of unique features such as the raised paved terrace and the unusually shaped stepping stone pathway.

The finished project has been created through the use of high quality, contemporary materials. All of the materials used in the project were carefully selected from reputable suppliers and installed by one of our experienced landscaping teams using traditional construction techniques.

After the construction aspect was completed an extensive planting plan was devised for the garden. The selection of plants offers versatility and year round interest. The innovative use of planters throughout the garden adds both feature and functionality in comparison to the ground level planting areas and in addition compliments the raised terrace and straight lines by giving further dimension to the garden.

This garden has been entered for the 2009 BALI Awards.
